WHO QUALIFIES?
​
Nominations are accepted for future induction for outstanding Green Wave athletes who have graduated at least five years before; for coaches; and for teams from five years or more before, as well as individuals who have been strong supporters of the NMHS sports program. Nominations may also be made to recognize individual single-game or event achievements by athletes who otherwise would not be considered for induction.

HOW DO I NOMINATE SOMEONE?

To submit a completed nomination form:

WHEN WILL I HEAR BACK?

Responses to nominations will be sent by the AHOF board as soon as possible. All nominations will be considered if they meet Athletic Hall of Fame criteria.
IF MY NOMINEE WERE TO BE INDUCTED, WHEN WOULD THE CEREMONY BE?
​
​​The AHOF board of directors will vote annually for each year’s class of inductees. Our next banquet date is scheduled Oct. 21, 2023.
HOW MANY ARE INDUCTED EACH YEAR?
​
Twelve Green Wave athletes and coaches were inducted in the inaugural Class of 2017 and twelve more athletes were inducted Oct. 27, 2018. Another dozen were inducted Nov. 2, 2019.

HOW ABOUT IN THE FUTURE?
​
As many as six more athletes and possibly a coach and Green Wave team will be inducted at our next banquet. Each following year, as many as six athletes could be inducted, as well as deserving coaches and teams.
WHY WASN'T YOUR NOMINATION CHOSEN FOR INDUCTION?

With many thousands of athletes and hundreds of coaches and teams to consider, from more than a century of Green Wave sports, the standards are very high for our inductees. The AHOF board of directors makes every effort to choose the very best of the best for induction, while respectfully recognizing the Green Wave careers and achievements of so many others who have made their mark in NMHS sports.
